This dish originated from the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 - 1945). The story goes that once the king disguised himself as a commoner to travel incognito. While traveling incognito, the king stopped by an old woman's house to ask for a meal. Although the old woman's family was not rich, she still treated the guest to a bowl of white rice, surrounded by many pre-cut rustic dishes. In the setting of a flickering oil lamp, the king enjoyed his meal very much. After finishing the meal, the King named the dish "Com Am Phu". Inspired by the story of the dish "Com Am Phu", combined with Vietnamese culture that believes that everything on earth is made of 5 things: Metal, Trees, Water, Fire and Earth. Emo's has created the dish "Emo's Signature Rice" with its own unique flavor and 5 main ingredients with different colors
- Grilled pork marinated with special sauce
- Fried eggs
- Grilled shrimp
- Fresh vegetables: carrots and cucumbers
- White rice
The rice will be served with fish sauce mixed according to Emo's own recipe, you can mix it with rice or eat it separately to add more richness to the dish.
